GGB, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, is offering a new brochure on its
      DB™ line of bearings. The brochure provides detailed information on these
      high-performance bearings including materials, structure, applications and
      operational parameters.

      DB bearings deliver excellent performance under high loads and
      intermittent operation. The material is designed for use in heavy-duty
      applications such as the offshore industry, underwater equipment, bridges
      and civil engineering, iron and steel industry equipment, cranes and
      conveyors, mining equipment and construction and earthmoving equipment.

      The bearings consist of a support structure cast from one of four
      high-quality bronze alloys. Embedded in this structure are solid lubricant
      inserts or plugs, providing continuous lubrication for low friction and
      wear rates and long service life. The inserts, supplemented with an
      applied running-in film, are arranged for optimal distribution of the
      lubricant over the life of the bearing.
